Our neighboring country, India, is our biggest friend. So-called friend India has turned vast areas of Bangladesh into deserts by damming 54 identical rivers, including Farakka. India withholds water during the dry season and opens all the gates together in the dark of night during the monsoon season. When we need water in the summer, they kill us without water. Thousands of acres of land lost crops due to a lack of water. Again, during the monsoon season, when water is not needed, the water is released and floats in our flood. We are shocked by such an inhuman act by the Indian government.
