Fed minutes signal interest rate cut in September!
The minutes of the last meeting of the Federal Open Market Committee of the US Central Bank (Fed) have been published. It was stated that the vast majority of Fed officials think that if the data continues to come as expected, a rate cut in September would be appropriate.
The Fed has published the minutes of the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting held on July 30-31.
The last meeting, in which the Fed kept the policy rate constant at 5.25-5.50 percent, the highest level in 23 years, showed that a rate cut decision could be made at the next meeting.
