According to ChainCatcher, Binance CEO Richard Teng urged the Nigerian government to release detained American executive Tigran Gambaryan.

Gambaryan has been detained in Nigeria since February and has been charged with money laundering. His health has deteriorated seriously. He suffers from malaria, double pneumonia and other complications, and he can't even walk. Teng said Gambaryan urgently needs medical treatment and the priority goal is to ensure his safe return home.

Gambaryan had previously voluntarily gone there at the invitation of the Nigerian government, but was subsequently accused of money laundering and detained in the notorious Kuje Prison.
