What Gemini can do

Google DeepMind CEO Demis Hassabis and Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai presented Gemini as “a significant step forward in chatbot technology.” They emphasized his "superior ability" to respond accurately and his ability to reason at a human level in certain situations.

The updated neural network received expanded functionality to help with writing code and mathematical calculations, and also learned to recognize images, video and audio.

Gemini is available in three variations: Ultra, Pro and Nano. This diversity allows the neural network to be adapted to any device for specific purposes - from mobile phones to data centers.

The implementation of the tool will take place in two stages. Bard will initially upgrade to the free version of Gemini Pro. Next year, Google will introduce Bard Advanced, which will give users access to the advanced AI model Gemini Ultra for $20 per month.

Gemini Nano is a special version for mobile devices that can work without an Internet connection. Owners of the Pixel 9 Pro smartphone can already test the chatbot.

An early iteration of Gemini Pro will use text prompts, but in the coming months it will expand its functionality to include multimodal support, including text, images and other media files.

With the debut of Bard Advanced in 2024, which will be "a new experience based on Gemini's most powerful model," the neural network will gain the ability to reason and interact with different types of information.
