Odaily Planet Daily News Yassamin Ansari, a Democratic candidate who supports cryptocurrency, defeated Raquel Terán, who was supported by Senator Elizabeth Warren, by a narrow margin of 39 votes in the congressional primary in Arizona's Third District. The result was confirmed on Tuesday after a recount. Ansari, who served as deputy mayor of Phoenix, will compete in a district that strongly supports the Democratic Party in the general election, so she is likely to become one of the congressmen who support friendly regulation of the US digital asset industry. Fairshake, the main political action committee in the cryptocurrency industry, provided about $1.4 million in advertising support for Ansari's campaign, which has attracted strong criticism from his opponents. "We are proud to support such a leader to enter Congress, work with both parties, embrace innovation, and promote economic growth," said Josh Vlasto, a spokesman for Fairshake. So far, Fairshake has provided funds for as many as 21 congressional campaigns. (CoinDesk)
