#Starknet officially opens STRK Staking in October
According to the announcement from Starknet, the Staking deployment will be Testnet in September and Mainnet in October. This will help the network move towards a more stable and reliable PoS mechanism.
It will be possible to participate in Staking with 2 roles: Staker or Delegator. Stakers will have to run a full node and must stake a minimum of 20k $STRK. For small users, they will be Delegators, only need to delegate tokens to 1 Staker and are not limited to the minimum number of tokens.
In the early stages, Starkware, Foundation and locked tokens will not be able to participate in Staking to avoid the case where they Stake in and eat rewards and sell continuously.
If users want to unstake, they will have to wait 21 days, during which time they will not receive rewards. So you also need to think carefully when participating in Stake, when Stake is in progress and the price is pumping...
Regarding the reward, the more $STRK is staked, the lower the reward and the higher the inflation. On the contrary, if the number of staked tokens is low, the reward is high and the inflation will be lower. However, the inflation will be adjusted within 1.8-2.5%/year
