BINANCE ANNOUNCES DISTRIBUTION OF "DOGS", TELEGRAM'S NEW MEMECOIN
Binance announced on Tuesday afternoon (20) that it will be distributing the Dogs (DOGS) memecoin to its users. The project was created on the Toncoin network and already has more than 16 million followers on its channel.
In total, Binance will be distributing 22 billion DOGS. Although there is no set price yet because it is not on the market, the currency can be found in the range of US$$ 0.0017 in the pre-market. Therefore, the distribution may reach R$$ 205 million (US$$ 37.4 million).
DOGS will be the third Toncoin project to be listed on Binance. Users will be able to earn the memecoin by staking BNB and/or the FDUSD stablecoin starting next Thursday (22) at 9:00 p.m. Brasília time.
In total, 18.7 billion DOGS will be available as a reward for staking BNB and another 3.3 billion for staking FDUSD, totaling 22 billion DOGS in prizes, which represents 4% of the total supply of the currency.
The ‘farming’ will last only three days. After that, Binance will list DOGS on its platform at 9:00 a.m. Brasília time next Monday (26) so that these coins can be traded.
In total, DOGS will receive four pairs, DOGS/USDT, DOGS/BNB, DOGS/FDUSD and DOGS/TRY.
“Any claims of offering this token for sale before the stated deadline are false advertising,” Binance wrote, warning of a possible increase in scam attempts in the coming days.
