Starknet is preparing to launch STRK staking
We will remind, back in July, the CEO of StarkWare spoke about the company's plans to implement the staking procedure closer to the end of 2024.
Voting is scheduled to begin in September 2024.
In the period from September 2 to 4, it will be held on the test network so that all participants can familiarize themselves with the features of the procedure.
The next stage will be the main vote, which will last from September 9 to 13. Thus, STRK token holders will have five days to participate in the project initiative.
Users will be offered to implement the STRK token blocking mechanism, which is designed to improve the decentralization and functionality of the network.
According to the latest data, if the initiative is approved by the community, STRK staking can be launched as early as October.
Note that the STRK token did not react to this news. Since listing on exchanges in February 2024, the asset has tumbled more than 90% and is trading at $0.35 at the time of writing.
