According to the on-chain data tracking service Whale Alert, Tether Treasury has minted an additional 1 billion USDT on the Tron chain. Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino said that this is an authorized but unissued minting transaction, which means that the relevant USDT will be used as inventory for the next issuance request and on-chain exchange.
