Odaily Planet Daily News Colin Butler, head of Polygon's global institutional capital, said in an interview that RWA represents a global market opportunity of $30 trillion. High net worth individuals and private equity funds will drive adoption in this area because tokenization brings liquidity and accessibility to historically illiquid asset classes. According to RWA.xyz, investments in tokenized private credit instruments have reached about $9 billion to date. Butler said that this figure will grow significantly as large private equity funds enter the field, adding that this has begun to happen and that the trend is expected to continue, with tens of billions of additional dollars of tokenized private assets issued in the coming years. In addition to stablecoins, the current RWA market size has reached $11.66 billion, with the most popular being tokenized money market funds such as BlackRock's BUIDL and Franklin's FOBXX. According to RWA.xyz, the two manage approximately $520 million and $420 million, respectively. (Cointelegraph)
