PANews reported on August 15 that according to Fox Business reporter Eleanor Terrett, Florida Congressman Darren Soto said that he and his colleagues in the Congressional Blockchain Caucus called on Harris to do three things in terms of cryptocurrency: 1. Repeal and reform the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) SAB 121 (Cryptocurrency Custody Accounting Standards Announcement); 2. Pass FIT21 (21st Century Financial Innovation and Technology Act) and work with Congress to pass the final bill and establish clear rules; 3. Encourage her to recognize the importance of cryptocurrency, especially its importance in remittances.
