According to ChainCatcher, Justin Sun, founder of TRON and member of Huobi HTX Global Advisory Committee, attended X Space hosted by Jupiter co-founder Meow, and had an in-depth discussion with BitGo CEO Mike Belshe and representatives of BiT Global on WBTC-related issues. During the conversation, Justin Sun said that WBTC has extremely high importance and brand value in the crypto field.
Sun Yuchen said that BiT Global and the new team will cherish the tradition of WBTC and ensure that the existing protocols, coin minting and destruction processes, and transparency remain unchanged. Sun Yuchen also emphasized that as a builder in the blockchain field, its top priority is to protect the community and users, not just to pursue profits. He said that the team will invest all resources to focus on improving user experience and continue to promote the development of the encryption industry to ensure the influence and security of WBTC worldwide.
BitGo CEO Mike Belshe also responded to controversial issues related to BiT Global during the conversation. He said that although BiT Global is relatively new as a custodian, BitGo will still participate in the co-signature of the transaction to ensure the legitimacy of the minting and destruction process. Belshe emphasized that trust is the most difficult thing to obtain in the crypto field, and the community should trust this new dual-signature arrangement and believe that it will bring higher security and transparency to WBTC.
