According to ChainCatcher, the total number of transactions processed by the Ethereum L2 ecosystem on August 12 hit a record high of 12.42 million.
This growth was mainly due to the memecoin boom based on the Coinbase L2 blockchain, where the transaction volume soared to a peak of more than 4 million in late July.
The L2 network now has more stablecoins than Solana and BSC combined. The report pointed out that the number of stablecoins on L2 is 150% more than Solana and 94% more than BSC. At the same time, according to Etherscan data, the daily transaction volume of the Ethereum mainnet has been relatively stable, hovering around 1.1 million for most of this year.
