Unioverse, a leading platform in the web3 gaming space, has rolled out its latest game, Hoverdrome, in a pre-alpha release for Windows PC. This new development marks a significant expansion in Unioverse’s offerings, including a high-stakes tournament and the introduction a new NFT hero, Tor Gret.

Hoverdrome and AAA action-packed racing with competition, similar to Mario Kart or Rocket League. As per the Unioverse approach of targeting its players more and more through providing them new and unique gaming experiences coupled with utilizable NFTs across multiple games this is their pre-alpha launch. 

Parallel to the official Hoverdrome launch, Unioverse has announced an associated tournament with a prize pool of more than $15000 in USDC and 300000 $UNIO tokens. Polygon will sponsor the event, and anyone hoping to partake must meet specific Windows PC system requirements to enter for free. 

The tournament will run from August 26 to August 31, with live finals scheduled for August 31. In collaboration with Community Gaming, well-known casters Tanner_Metro and Orbital_Casting will provide commentary for the finals.

Adding to the excitement, Unioverse has also introduced its third NFT hero, Tor Gret, a space sheriff character minted in collaboration with Magic Eden. With only 5,000 units available, Tor Gret is considered the most valuable NFT in the Unioverse to date. This NFT offers holders unique benefits, including early access to games and significant events, particularly for those possessing ‘Epic’ or ‘Legendary’ Heroes.

Wyeth Ridgway, Founder and CTO of Random Games, explaining his vision for the company’s initiatives echoed the goal of building meaningful experiences for the people comprising its community. The event of minting Tor Gret is considered as the key move to bolster the Unioverse ecosystem as it provides massive utility and head start access to its players.
