According to ChainCatcher, Jesse Pollak, head of the Base protocol, posted on a social platform that the Base core team did not set up a BD (business development) position. From the first day, the protocol renamed this role as "ecosystem". Base is not expanding business, but developing the Base economy.

Pollak added that the best ecosystem personnel are essentially builders and will help other industry participants do the same.
