Telegram-based mobile clicker game Hamster Kombat has released more details about its much-anticipated cryptocurrency airdrop.
The popular click-to-earn game has revealed more details on how players can get a bigger airdrop. The mini program has finally added new details to the airdrop section of its Telegram mini program.

All in-game activities will count towards accumulating more airdrop points, according to Hamster Kombat’s new airdrop section updated on August 8. The updated section includes six different token accumulation sections, including players’ passive income and completing tasks to earn money, achievements, Telegram subscriptions and keys, and friend referrals.
Players will receive token rewards based on different points distribution indicators within the game.
However, a Hamster Kombat spokesperson told Cointelegraph that airdrop eligibility also depends on the game cycle, community interaction, overall social activity, and the quality of invited players:
“The more players in the game, the higher the capitalization, and therefore the greater the returns for everyone. The upcoming HMSTR airdrop will be the largest in the history of crypto. And we don’t have any venture capitalists. The only way to get the tokens is to play the game.”
The highly anticipated update comes a week after Hamster Kombat reached 300 million players and heralded the upcoming launch of "the largest airdrop in cryptocurrency history."
Hamster Kombat aims to attract the next billion Web3 users
Hamster Kombat’s ultimate goal is to attract the next billion mainstream users to Web3.
When asked about the ultimate goal of the game, a spokesperson for Hamster Kombat told Cointelegraph:
“We want to build the largest, tightest community and onboard the next billion people to Web3, so we have to show everyone how Web3 actually works. The easiest way to do that is through games.”
The spokesperson added that Hamster Kombat’s convenience seamlessly introduces users to underlying blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies without additional friction points, making the game an excellent tool for attracting new Web3 users.
Others also believe in Telegram’s mainstream potential. For example, Justin Hyun, investment director of the TON Foundation, said that Telegram could be a “Trojan horse” for mass blockchain adoption.

Can Hamster Kombat pull off the largest cryptocurrency airdrop in history?
While it is known that 60% of the HMSTR token airdrop will be dedicated to gamers, no further details are available regarding the token economics.
However, organizing the largest airdrop in cryptocurrency history might be challenging, as it would require surpassing the Uniswap airdrop total of over $6.43 billion — the most valuable cryptocurrency airdrop to date, according to CoinGecko.

In addition to the airdrop, Hamster Kombat has already set the record for the fastest product to reach 100 million users, reaching this milestone in just two months, and is on track to set a Guinness World Record.
