According to TechFlow, according to documents from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), former CoinShares Chief Strategy Officer Meltem Demirors is planning to raise $75 million for two new venture capital funds. The two funds are named Crucible Capital Fund I and Crucible Capital Fund 1-A, with target fundraising amounts of $45 million and $30 million. Demirors is listed as a managing member of the general partners of the two funds.

It is worth noting that according to data from The Block Research, the total amount of venture capital transactions in the crypto space exceeded US$3.2 billion in the second quarter of 2024, an increase of 8% from the previous quarter. Despite the increase in the number of early-stage project transactions, the total investment amount fell from US$1 billion in the first quarter to US$828 million in the second quarter.
