PANews reported on August 8 that according to official Arbitrum news, Arbitrum announced that its Orbit chain can now use bridged USDC as a custom Gas token. Developers will benefit from more ways to customize their Orbit chain, including quick setup through the Orbit RaaS provider and the opportunity to apply for the USDC funding program from Circle. Users can use USDC to pay for Gas, thereby reducing Gas price fluctuations. This move will facilitate the development of new applications, especially payment system applications that require a frictionless user experience. Developers can immediately use Alt Layer, Caldera, Conduit, and Gelato Network for development, and support for Ankr and Alchemy Platform will be launched soon.
