Chery Group enters the Fortune Global 500 for the first time, ranking 385th
According to a post on Chery Holdings’ WeChat, on August 5, 2024, Fortune Chinese released the 2024 Fortune Global 500 list. Chery Holdings Group Co., Ltd. topped the list with an operating income of US$39.0917 billion, ranking 385th. This not only marks the addition of another Chinese Fortune Global 500 company, but also means that the Fortune Global 500 lineup welcomes the Chinese automaker with the largest “shipping volume”.
The Fortune Global 500 list has always been one of the most famous and authoritative lists to measure the strength of large companies around the world. According to the list data, people can not only understand the strength rankings of large companies in different countries, but also understand the changes in the company’s operating quality such as sales return rate, return on net assets, and total employee productivity. This year, the total operating income of companies on the Fortune Global 500 list is about US$41 trillion, up 0.1% from the previous year, and the threshold for entering the list (minimum operating income) is US$32.1 billion. A total of 133 Chinese companies made the list, with a total revenue of approximately $11 trillion in 2023.
