AMD acquires Silo AI for cash, expanding global enterprise AI solutions
According to AMD’s official press release on July 12, 2024, AMD has signed a final agreement to acquire Silo AI, the largest private AI laboratory in Europe, for $665 million in cash.
AMD's global layout is to provide end-to-end AI solutions for enterprises, and to cooperate with the AI industry chain and top talents to establish strategic partners to occupy the AI territory. The acquisition of Silo AI Lab can include existing talents.
