Riot Platforms Strengthens Acquisition Strategy for Bitfarms
Bitcoin miner Riot Platforms further strengthened its acquisition strategy for Canadian miner Bitfarms this month by purchasing approximately 10 million additional shares, according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on July 31.
Key Points:
Shareholding: Riot currently holds 71.56 million of all outstanding shares of Bitfarms, valued at $159.1 million, equivalent to a 15.9% stake in the company. Acquisition Background: The increase came after the Ontario Capital Markets Tribunal ruled that Bitfarms' initial shareholder rights plan was invalid, which provided that if an entity acquired more than 15% of the shares, it would dilute the outstanding shares. Shareholding Changes: Prior to the ruling, Riot held a 14.9% stake in Bitfarms.
Riot's acquisition plan demonstrates its expansion strategy in the cryptocurrency mining sector, further consolidating its position in the industry. #美国政府转移BTC #美国大选如何影响加密产业? #bome #wif #for $1000SATS $JTO $RUNE
