Doodles introduces Doodlesᵗᵛ
The Doodles characters are at it again: the brand has just launched Doodlesᵗᵛ, a token-gated platform that gives holders access to exclusive entertainment.
Part streaming site, part social media platform, Doodlesᵗᵛ looks set to be a one-stop shop for the latest in music, animation, film, and digital art from the world of Doodles.
Fans on the platform will have the opportunity to live chat with artists and on-chain collectibles, and holders of original Doodles PFP, Space Doodles or Super Pass will receive priority access.
Next week, Doodles will partner with Base to launch Super Pass Season 1, unlocking access to the Doodlesᵗᵛ platform, kicking off with the premiere of the animated film Dullsville and the Doodleverse, along with music from Doodles Records and more.
SEC approves nine Ethereum spot ETFs
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has approved nine Ethereum (ETH) spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs), providing traditional investors with ETH exposure and recognizing the cryptocurrency’s utility.
Today, in addition to the newly approved ETH ETF, there are currently 11 spot Bitcoin (BTC) ETFs approved.
Abstract launches new crypto chain for consumers
Pudgy Penguins parent company Igloo and several web3-focused venture funds have launched a new initiative to build a blockchain platform for consumer-facing crypto use cases.
Dubbed Abstract, the new blockchain was developed by contributors to notable web3 projects, including Pudgy Penguins, Ethereum, privacy-focused wallet company Frame, and open-source scaling tool Kubernetes.
In a tweet, the team said they want to build Abstract into “the largest distribution channel — bringing users, liquidity, and community to crypto-native builders and global brands.”
Avail DA is now live on mainnet
After raising $75 million in funding, Polygon-incubated blockchain Avail has officially launched, with the mainnet going live on Tuesday, July 23. The Avail team has reached an agreement with Ethereum second-layer (L2) developer StarkWare to provide services for new application chains (appchains).
Avail’s network is designed for data availability (DA), meaning it is able to store data generated by blockchain transactions in a cost-effective manner, and the project is positioned as a “unifying layer” that connects various blockchain ecosystems and projects.
SYKY’s spatial reality app launches on Apple Vision Pro
SYKY, a digital fashion platform led by former Ralph Lauren and Burberry executive Alice Delahunt, is releasing a new spatial reality app on the Apple Vision Pro.
The debut immersive experience allows users to interact with pieces from Japanese avant-garde fashion brand Anrealage and explore the designer spaces from the brand’s HOME collection.
Notably, the exclusive centerpiece of the launch is dubbed the “Pyramid Dress,” a structured, color-shifting dress inspired by the custom Anrealage gown Beyoncé wore during her Renaissance Tour.
Atari to bring its classic games to Onchain Summer
Game developer Atari is working with Coinbase and its L2 blockchain Base to relaunch its classic games for Onchain Summer.
The first game, Asteroids, was released on July 22, and players can now relive their childhoods by taking on the space-themed shooter, which was first developed in 1979, and have a chance to climb the leaderboards.
New Gameplay Trailers Released for The Forgotten Runiverse and Illuvium
The release of two new trailers has the gaming world buzzing.
The Forgotten Runiverse trailer showed off the game's magical world filled with wizard factions and epic battles, while Illuvium's latest trailer showcased the game's mythical creatures and customizable ranger avatars.
