At the Bitcoin 2024 conference, held from July 25 to 27, cryptocurrency users lost more than $79,000 due to a fake livestream scam created by artificial intelligence. The fake stream used footage of Elon Musk allegedly speaking, although he was not actually present at the conference and had nothing to do with the video. Co-founder of cryptocurrency payment service Wyre, Michael Dunworth, reported the scam in a post on X on July 26, noting that the fake video was broadcast on a channel called "Tesla" that was not associated with Musk. The actual live broadcast of the conference was conducted on the official Bitcoin Magazine channel on YouTube.

I think many people saw this fake broadcast on YouTube, how Elon Musk asked to follow the QR code, I thought what kind of crap is this, no one will buy this fake.... but no, there are victims.
