[Franklin Templeton sees Solana as the next crypto ETF]
Roger Baston, head of digital assets at Franklin Templeton, shared his thoughts on the future of cryptocurrency investing in an interview with Bloomberg, specifically highlighting the potential of Solana (SOL) as a new ETF candidate. Baston said Franklin Templeton is focused on opening up the world of cryptocurrency investment and believes that Ethereum, while not as well-known as Bitcoin, shows great potential to solve many problems in a decentralized environment.
Baston discussed how the company is making these assets more accessible to investors through brokerage accounts and ETFs. He is optimistic about the future of Ethereum and Bitcoin, as well as other promising projects in the blockchain and digital asset infrastructure industries. He singled out Solana as another network with high growth potential, similar to Ethereum.
He emphasized the need to evaluate various networks and their possibilities for diversifying digital assets, in line with Franklin Templeton’s continuous evaluation approach, and configure blockchain projects based on the project’s strengths and investor needs.
