Saifedean Ammous, the author of one of the best-selling books on bitcoin in the world, gave his opinion on who is the real enemy of bitcoin.

In a post on X/Twitter, Ammous stated that many politicians are making noise about Bitcoin. However, all the fuss will be in vain as far as the US Central Bank is concerned.

This is because politicians cannot buy bitcoin without going through the Fed, which in the writer's view is the biggest barrier in the market.

“Buying bitcoin without Fed approval would be an all-out war by the government against its own central bank,” says Saifedean

Author of the bestseller “The Bitcoin Standard“, released in 38 languages, and “The Fiat Standard & Principles of Economics“, Saifedean Ammous is one of Bitcoin's biggest defenders.

Thus, he decided to publish a text about his understanding of the current market situation, excited after Donald Trump promised to change the policy involving Bitcoin if he was elected US president in 2024.

According to him, the Fed is the barrier for any politician interested in bitcoin. Ammous called the North American central bank a banking cartel, indicating that it will always favor the Dollar, regardless of politicians' promises.

“It's good that politicians are favoring bitcoiners, but the promises are cheap. There is one major insurmountable obstacle for the US government to purchase bitcoin: the US government does NOT own or control the US Federal Reserve, which is a cartel of private banks. The President of the United States cannot simply tell this cartel what to do with its reserves. The US dollar is this cartel's sacred cow and it is how they steal the entire planet. They are not willing to give up this noise because some politician made a promise the implications of which he does not understand.”

Following, the writer declared that the Fed will not give up its power gained over the years just by the will of some politician. Thus, Ammous declared that neither Trump nor Kennedy Jr, another US presidential candidate who declared his intention to buy bitcoin, can fight the Fed, as it would be an “all-out war”.

“Buying bitcoin despite the Fed's opposition is a declaration of all-out war by the US government against the Fed and the fiat dollar, and that is not something Trump or Kennedy are willing to do. Trump has repeatedly praised the Fed. Kennedy wants to implement a ridiculous scheme of subsidized home loans at low interest rates, only possible with the creation of cheap money by the Fed. These men are not Andrew Jackson, they don't even try to be him," said the author of the Bitcoin Standard.

“The Fed is Bitcoin’s real enemy and politicians can’t fight it even if they want to,” says best-selling writer

Concluding his thoughts on politicians' new interest in Bitcoin, Saifedean Ammous urges caution with promises in election campaigns.

According to him, the “Fed is the true enemy of bitcoin and even humanity.” In his view, the Fed controls the US Government and politicians are actors that have been changing for decades.

Finally, he asked that instead of wasting time with “political circuses”, people work hard to buy their bitcoins in search of their individual freedom.

“The real enemy of bitcoin and humanity is the Fed. The US government is just its tool, and politicians are interchangeable actors who have not mattered for decades. You won't destroy the Fed by promising to vote for one actor over another. Their only chance to destroy it is for bitcoin to outgrow the dollar and Treasury bonds, and for dollar users to continue to impoverish themselves into oblivion while bitcoiners prosper with their superior technology. I humbly suggest that you don’t waste time and sit in the political circus and instead work hard to accumulate sats.”

It's nice that politicians are pandering to bitcoiners, but promises are cheap. There is a major insurmountable obstacle to the US govt buying bitcoin: The US govt does NOT own or control the US Federal Reserve, which is a cartel of private banks. The US President can't just tell…
