Today, on-chain detective ZachXBT reveals an explosive investigation into hacks of high-profile celebrity X-rated accounts. Sydney Sweeney and Bob Odenkirk's accounts were compromised to promote fraudulent coin scams, siphoning off millions in just hours!
On July 2, Sydney Sweeney's account was hacked, and the fraudulent token "$SWEENEY" exploded in trading volume, generating a loss of $530,000. And that's not all ! Reports suggest that Sweeney was the victim of a SIM swap, facilitating this massive fraud. The stolen funds were quickly converted to Bitcoin ($BTC ) and Ethereum ($ETH ), and dispersed across multiple addresses.
But the saga does not end there. On the same day, Bob Odenkirk's account suffered a similar fate with the launch of KIRK and SAUL coins. Less lucrative, this attack still enriched the crooks.
British hacker Gurvinder Bhangu, alias Gurv, formerly convicted of similar crimes, is at the center of this fraud. ZachXBT calls on authorities to act quickly to put an end to this wave of cybercrime.
