Focus on Bitcoin 2024: Key speeches and announcements to watch out for, what will Trump say?
The much-anticipated Bitcoin 2024 conference will be held in Nashville from July 25-27.
Among them, former US President Donald Trump, Senator Cynthia Loomis and politician Robert F. Kennedy Jr. are among the most anticipated figures at the 2024 Bitcoin Conference.
Donald Trump is known for his blunt statements and his speech is expected to have a significant impact on the markets.
Trump is scheduled to speak at 9 pm (UTC) on Saturday, and his appearance is highly anticipated as he has previously made notable remarks on cryptocurrencies.
“No one knows what Trump will say except Trump himself. However, we are very optimistic that he will send a positive message to the Bitcoin community. In fact, we think it will be a historic message,” said Brandon Green, event organizer and chief of staff at BTC Inc.
Another prominent figure at the conference, Robert Kennedy, has long been a supporter of Bitcoin.
His support for cryptocurrency predates Trump's involvement, so his remarks and opinions are also attracting much attention from the market.
Kennedy will conduct a fireside chat on the main stage at 11 pm (UTC) Friday, followed by a 30-minute question-and-answer session backstage.
For those unable to attend in person, organizers will live stream Bitcoin 2024 on Rumble, allowing a global audience to watch these influential talks and other important discussions.
Audiences will be able to watch Donald Trump and Kennedy's main stage performances online, but Kennedy's backstage question-and-answer session will not be live.
The event will also feature other notable figures, including Senator Cynthia Loomis.
Rumor has it that she will announce new legislation to include Bitcoin in the United States’ strategic reserves.
This could make Bitcoin a key component in managing the U.S. monetary system and stabilizing the value of the dollar.
Speculations are growing that Elon Musk may also attend the 2024 Bitcoin Summit.
The eccentric billionaire recently updated his profile picture with the addition of laser eyes on X, a symbol often associated with Bitcoin enthusiasm.
The move sparked talk that Musk, a well-known cryptocurrency advocate, might appear in Nashville.
However, event organizers have yet to confirm his attendance.
BeInCrypto also reported that Vice President Kamala Harris is in discussions to be one of the speakers.
However, the latest news is that Bitcoin Magazine CEO David Bailey revealed that Harris will not speak at the event.
"This is not surprising. What can she say to us when she is actively jailing developers, forcing our industry overseas, attacking [proof of work] PoW? This will be a disaster for her. All eyes are on Trump now," Bailey said on his X (Twitter) account.
The conference promises to be a major moment for the entire cryptocurrency community, with contributions from industry leaders such as MicroStrategy’s Michael Saylor and Ark Invest’s Cathie Wood.
