Proton was founded in Switzerland in 2014 by scientists from the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN). It provides services such as Proton Mail, Proton VPN and Proton Drive, focusing on providing encrypted communication and storage solutions that prioritize privacy. Its new wallet solution is designed to allow users to buy, store and transfer Bitcoin, including features such as sending Bitcoin via email, and leveraging its existing infrastructure to enhance security. Proton Wallet's integrated entrance enables users in more than 150 countries to buy Bitcoin. (The Block)
