The announcement stated that the BNB Foundation has successfully completed the 28th quarterly BNB token destruction on the BNB chain. According to the announcement, the amount of BNB destroyed reached 1,643,698.8 BNB, which is about 971 million US dollars.
Binance also made another statement: A real-time destruction mechanism based on BNB gas fees has also been implemented. BSC validators determine the ratio of gas fees collected in each block, which are destroyed at a fixed rate. Since the activation of BEP95, about 234,000 BNB have been destroyed under this mechanism.
