📅 July 22, 2014. Remember this time? I don't either, but you know what? This was the date that Ethereum officially launched its ICO, and I'm diving into the history because it's damn interesting!
Here's an interesting fact: back then you could exchange 1 BTC for as much as 2000 ETH. Do you think it was a great deal? Today 1 BTC is exchanged for less than 20 ETH. This is something like a superhero story about rise and fall, only in reverse - there is rise and even greater rise! 🚀
Let's be honest - neither venture capital nor permissions stopped the Ethereum team. They carried out this ICO without any hassles or tricks, without a lock-in period, and now, 10 years later, ETH has grown by more than 100 times compared to BTC. 💥
Well, that's cool, isn't it? And yes, I don’t claim to take advantage of all these features (yet 😉), but it’s just awesome to learn. Here's why: sometimes the history of crypto is truly amazing and inspiring!
