According to Techub News, Bitcoin.com reported that a coalition of seven states led by Iowa Attorney General Brenna Bird filed a friend-of-the-court brief on July 10 to challenge the SEC's overreach in cryptocurrency regulation. Other member states of the coalition include Arkansas, Indiana, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, and Oklahoma. The Iowa Attorney General's Office pointed out that the SEC "is illegal to bypass Congress to give itself new powers and will stifle innovation."
