CoinGecko posted on the X platform that Ethereum became inflationary in the second quarter of 2024, with a net increase of 120,818 ETH circulating supply. Mainly due to reduced network activity and lower gas fees, the destruction rate dropped significantly.
Specific data: In Q2, 107,725 ETH were destroyed and 228,543 ETH were issued. The destruction rate dropped by 66.7% month-on-month. Despite the drop in transaction volume, ETH transfers still destroyed 6,838 ETH.
