PANews reported on July 19 that according to CoinDesk, due to the global Internet outage, dozens of crypto tokens related to Internet service company CrowdStrike and Microsoft's "Blue Screen of Death" (BSoD) error were issued on the Ethereum and Solana blockchains. The Internet outage caused blue screen of death errors for millions of Windows users around the world, affecting businesses such as airlines, railways and stock exchanges, which was related to the failure of Crowdstrike software updates.
As of early Friday morning in Europe, no crypto-related companies or businesses reported errors or interruptions in service. According to data from DEXTools and DEXScreener, tokens related to CrowdStrike, STRIKE, Microsoft, bluescreenofdeath, and BSoD were issued and actively traded, with some tokens having liquidity as high as $50,000 in stablecoins and a market value of $1 million on paper quickly. On the Pump Fun platform, a token generator on Solana, users created hundreds of tokens with various memes related to these companies. Although most of these tokens have no real support and may eventually lose all value, they do generate profits for their creators and early buyers.
