Ripple and Shiba Inu Became the Most Traded Projects, Leaving Bitcoin Behind
Ripple (XRP) and Shiba Inu (SHIB) transaction volume surpassed Bitcoin (BTC) on Upbit, South Korea's largest exchange.
Ripple and Shiba Inu volume on the leading cryptocurrency exchange Upbit has surpassed Bitcoin trading volume.
According to the data provided by the exchange on July 18, the XRP/KRW pair achieved a transaction volume of 448.5 million dollars, while the SHIB/KRW pair ranked second by far with a transaction volume of 178.5 million dollars.
In the same time period, BTC/KRW specific transaction volume ranked third with 171.4 million dollars.
Upbit users, who have led the cryptocurrency market with their altcoin listings and high volumes in the past period, have come to the fore many times, especially with their admiration for Ripple.
In the current days, rumors that the case between Ripple Labs and the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) will end soon have increased the interest on XRP once again.
According to CoinGecko data, XRP lost 5% in value to $0.55 in the last 24 hours, and SHIB lost 6% in value to $0.0000174.
