Hester Peirce, a Commissioner of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), commented on the topic of staking for spot Ethereum ETFs in the U.S.

It is worth recalling that previously, issuing companies were obliged not to send ethers in their exchange-traded funds to staking for additional yield—obviously, this was an SEC requirement.

📊 Hester believes that in the future, the decision on the features of such products may be reconsidered. This means that, in theory, ETFs on ETH could become more attractive to investors, as they would bring higher returns.
