European bitcoin mining company Northern Data is fighting back against a whistleblower lawsuit filed by two former executives, according to WuSaid. On Monday evening, Northern Data's lawyers filed a motion to dismiss the federal case, calling it a "classic example of malicious litigation" and claiming that the two plaintiffs, Gulsen Kama and Joshua Porter, had "inaction and short tenure" during their tenure at the company, with Kama fired for cause and Porter laid off for "lack of productivity." Northern Data rejected Porter and Kama's extortionate demands for severance pay and believed that the two employees were trying to profit from false allegations they knew were false. In addition, Monday's filing also pointed out that Kama's lawsuit against Northern Data was not the first time she had sued a former employer.
