According to ChainCatcher, Bitcoin Magazine CEO David Bailey plans to raise $15 million for former US President Trump's campaign later this month, according to Cointelegraph.

The fundraiser may be held at or shortly after the Bitcoin Conference in Nashville. The fundraiser and Bitcoin conference will be held against the backdrop of increased political tension and violent rhetoric in the United States.

Trump called cryptocurrency "not money" and "based on fantasy" during his tenure from 2017 to 2021, but changed his strategy after announcing his re-election campaign in 2022, saying his campaign would accept cryptocurrencies and planned to ensure that all remaining Bitcoins were produced in the United States.
