According to Techub News, Decrypt reported that regarding its guilty plea for violating the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), BitMEX said it would seek to expedite sentencing and argued that it should not face any further fines.

BitMEX founders Arthur Hayes and Benjamin Delo pleaded guilty to similar charges in February 2022 and agreed to pay $10 million in criminal fines each. The company said these penalties should be enough.
