Vitalik Buterin donated 100 ETH to the development of the Ethereum blockchain
Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin transferred 100 ETH, worth approximately $300,000, to an address owned by the 2077 Collective to promote innovation and support the Ethereum network.
The transaction from the “vitalik.eth” wallet was reported by Chinese crypto-journalist Colin Wu, who uses the pseudonym WuBlockchain on the X social network. The 2077 Collective bills itself as the unofficial marketing arm of Ethereum. Its members include developers, researchers and marketers who they say are committed to “making Ethereum cooler” by promoting community initiatives.
The exact purpose of the donation made by Buterin is not known, but it can be assumed that he approves of the organization's actions. The 2077 Collective team thanked Buterin for his support and promised to continue working to increase the network's appeal.
