According to TechFlow, technology giant Opera has upgraded the crypto wallet in its mobile browser Opera Mini, integrating Tether's USDT and Circle's USDC stablecoins.
The new feature, Pockets, allows users to swap between Celo Dollar (cUSD) and newly integrated stablecoins with one click, with fees as low as a few cents and no hidden costs.
Since its launch in September 2023, the MiniPay wallet has been activated over three million times in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya and South Africa, making it one of the fastest growing digital wallets in Africa.
