Sentient was born with the purpose of building AI Models based on community contributions. The difference between Sentient and OpenAI is that this project offers open source approaches that allow users to contribute and refine the Model, and reward users based on the level of their contribution.
Sentiment's core team includes: Sandeep Nailwal (Polygon co-founder), Pramod Viswanath (Princeton professor), Himanshu Tyagi (Indian Institute of Science professor) and Sensys (AI startup). In addition, the Project also receives advice from Sreeram Kannan (founder & CEO EigenLayer).
Sentient plans to launch Testnet on the Polygon blockchain in the third quarter of 2024. Sentient has not yet revealed whether it will launch a token or not, we still need to wait more in the future.
