American actress Sydney Sweeney's X account was hacked, with deleted posts promoting a cryptocurrency with her name in an apparent "pump and dump" scheme. 💔

The Solana SWEENEY token generated over $10 million in trading volume within two hours of its July 2 launch.

However, the price of SWEENEY fell by almost 90% in just over an hour, starting at 18:15 UTC. Its market cap is now $1.2 million, down from a peak of $3.85 million.

The administrator of the Telegram channel associated with the token allegedly admitted to hacking.

This is the second time Sweeney's account has been hacked to promote cryptocurrency. In January, her account was hacked and the hackers were advertising the Solana MILK token.

Recently, some celebrities have started promoting cryptocurrencies.
