The SEC keeps suing crypto-related things all the time. Even though America is the country that holds the most Bitcoin, it is constantly trying to undermine the crypto. This contradictory attitude seems to be in order to control the crypto market and attract Bitcoins.

Regulations and lawsuits are being used to stifle the potential of cryptocurrencies. Suppressing crypto under the pretense of both protecting investors and ensuring market stability could stifle innovation and make it harder to adopt digital assets. I interpret this American approach towards crypto as a strategy to both keep the industry under control and take leadership.
