#Hodl appeared on December 18, 2013 as a typo in the title I AM HODLING in a post on the #bitcoin Talk forum. A few days before that, BTC surpassed the $1,000 price for the first time in its history, before falling very quickly to $522 😱

The #author of this post is aware of the typo, but left it on purpose to emphasize the fallacy of his actions. He calls himself a bad trader and therefore will not buy at the bottom and sell at the peak - he will just hold bitcoin, ignoring changes in its price.

Today HODL is an inseparable part of bitcoin philosophy and because when someone writes or pronounces the word hoDler you can quickly assess how long this person has been in the crypto-world and how deep his knowledge of the first #cryptocurrency is.
