The Base network leads in the number of active walletsAccording to CryptoRank.io, the largest number of daily active addresses among all Layer 2 networks is recorded in Base - more than 1.43 million. This indicates its popularity among users and developers. Next comes Celo with 650 thousand active addresses, which is due to its services for institutional clients. Arbitrum with 470 thousand users completes the top three. At the same time, this blockchain has blocked total capital (TVL) in the amount of $4.01 billion, which is much higher than its competitors. It is noteworthy that Base's TVL is $3.25 billion. This may be due to the fact that users are more active in using Base for transactions and interactions, but not necessarily for long-term storage of funds. Meanwhile, Scroll ZKP, Linea, Optimism and #ZkSync show more modest results in terms of daily active addresses, although their TVLs are also quite high, suggesting a steadily growing interest in these protocols. The growth of the Celo network is particularly noteworthy. Its success has largely been driven by stablecoins and solutions targeting institutional clients, highlighting the interest of large companies in using blockchain technology. Current data shows that Layer 2 blockchains continue to evolve, offering users faster and cheaper transactions. Such networks are becoming more and more in demand with the growth of the cryptocurrency market and the number of decentralized applications (dApps) that require large volumes of transfers. The situation also reflects the global trend of increasing interest in multi-chain solutions, where users can move assets between different blockchains, minimizing risks and costs. Innovative approaches, such as the use of cross-chain protocols, only strengthen the position of such projects in the market. #BTCETFDemandSurge

Notcoin and zkSync Tokens Plunge Amid Market Correction#NOT🔥🔥🔥 #ZkSync #crash The recent downturn in the cryptocurrency market has notably impacted the valuations of Notcoin $NOT and zkSync (ZK) tokens. As of press time, NOT has declined 13% in value over the last 24 hours, now trading at $0.01582. Concurrently, $ZK has also dropped, falling by 16% to a current price of $0.2006. These shifts occur alongside a minor 1% decrease in Bitcoin’s value, though it still holds above the $65,000 support level. NOT Price Action Despite a recent downturn, NOT has surged by 130% over the last month, marking it as one of the standout cryptocurrencies. However, from a high of $0.021, NOT’s price fell to its current rate amid a significant three-day sell-off, as per TradingView. This drop, coupled with a 6.26% decrease in trading volume, pushed NOT’s market cap to $1.61 billion, moving it just outside the top 50 cryptocurrencies. Presently, NOT trades 45% below its peak of $0.02896, reached 16 days ago following its listing on Binance.  On the other hand, the Relative Strength Index (RSI) stands at 51.43, suggesting sustained buying interest and keeping NOT bullish on the RSI spectrum. This correction aligns with analyst predictions after its rapid value increase. #Notcoin fell off from the $0.02 level and lost -13% in a few hours 📉☑️ The reason is the people who claimed their tokens after a month of staking and sold them. I'm not concerned about it so much, according to the volume bars there are not a lot of sellers. ☑️ Previous purchase volumes were more impressive. I think the market will easily buy back this wave of sales Meanwhile, an X platform (formerly Twitter) user, W3Vibes, linked the price fall to investors selling after a month of staking. W3Vibes notes that despite the sell-off, the manageable level of selling pressure and the strong buying volumes seen previously suggest the market could still show resilience and recover. ZK Price Action In parallel to Notcoin, the zkSync token has also declined substantially. This drop can be traced to a significant portion of the top wallets that received the new zkSync tokens on Monday, June 17, quickly selling off their allocations. According to data from blockchain analytics company Nansen, 41.1% of tracked addresses sold their entire airdrop allocation, while 30.3% sold at least a portion of their tokens. The combined total sold across these groups amounted to over 497 million ZK tokens. Despite this sell-off, around 28.5% of the top receiving wallets have opted to hold onto their ZK tokens. The flurry of trading activity has contributed to a significant surge in its 24-hour trading volume, which spiked by 125.48%, reaching approximately $1,021,708,204. Additionally, the zkSync token has a total supply of 21 billion, with a fully diluted market value exceeding $4.224 billion. Nevertheless, only 17.5% of this supply is circulating in the market, resulting in an intraday market capitalization of about $738 million, a drop from its high of more than $1.1 billion observed just after its initial debut. NATIVE USDC TOKEN ON ZkSyncNative USDC on zkSync Native USDC on zkSync: A New Era for Transactions Circle's USDC stablecoin recently launched as a native asset on the zkSync Layer 2 scaling solution for Ethereum. This integration marks a significant development for both zkSync and the broader blockchain ecosystem. Here's a breakdown of what it means: What is Native USDC on zkSync? Previously, USDC existed on zkSync as a bridged asset, meaning it originated on the Ethereum blockchain and was transferred to zkSync through a bridge. Now, with the native integration, USDC becomes a core part of the zkSync ecosystem, with several advantages: Faster and Cheaper Transactions: Native USDC transactions leverage zkSync's technology, enabling significantly faster and cheaper transactions compared to using USDC on the Ethereum mainnet.Improved Liquidity: The transition from bridged USDC to native USDC is expected to gradually increase liquidity within the zkSync ecosystem. This can benefit users and developers building applications on zkSync.Seamless Integration: Native USDC allows for easier integration with zkSync-based decentralized applications (dApps) compared to bridged USDC. Benefits of Native USDC on zkSync: Enhanced User Experience: Faster and cheaper transactions with USDC will improve the overall user experience within zkSync dApps.Increased Scalability: By utilizing zkSync's technology, native USDC can handle a higher volume of transactions, contributing to the scalability of the zkSync ecosystem.Wider Adoption: Easier integration and a potentially more efficient system can attract more developers and users to zkSync, expanding its reach. Overall, the launch of native USDC on zkSync is a positive step forward. It promises faster, cheaper, and more user-friendly transactions with USDC within the zkSync ecosystem. Here are some additional points to consider: Security: While zkSync offers security benefits, it's still under development. It's crucial to stay updated on the project's security audits and best practices for secure transactions.Regulation: As a regulated stablecoin, USDC brings a layer of trust and transparency to the zkSync ecosystem. However, it's important to understand any regulatory implications associated with using USDC on zkSync. The European Union's Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA), which came into effect in June 2023, plays a significant role in regulating stablecoins within the European Economic Area (EEA). Here's a breakdown of key points: MiCA and Stablecoins Clarity and Consistency: MiCA establishes a clear and consistent regulatory framework for crypto-assets, including stablecoins, across all EU member states. This eliminates the need for individual regulations within each country.Focus on Transparency and Governance: MiCA emphasizes transparency and robust governance for stablecoin issuers. Issuers must have proper authorization, capital reserves, and risk management procedures in place.Types of Stablecoins: MiCA differentiates between different types of stablecoins based on their underlying assets:Fiat-backed stablecoins: These are pegged to traditional currencies like the Euro or USD. MiCA requires issuers of fiat-backed stablecoins to hold adequate reserves of the equivalent fiat currency. Only credit institutions and electronic money institutions (EMIs) can issue fiat-backed stablecoins under MiCA.Asset-referenced tokens: These are pegged to other assets like commodities or cryptocurrencies. zkSync Era protocol currently encountering network issues The main network of the notorious ZkSync protocol has stopped working and has not produced blocks for more than 3 hours. The developers confirmed the technical failure on Dec. 25 and stated that they were working to restore functionality. The project team promised that they would notify the community once more information became available about the problem. The reasons for the network failure are still unknown. Notably, last month ChainLight, a blockchain security audit company, discovered a vulnerability in the zkSync Era protocol that could result in a potential loss of $1.9 billion if exploited. Despite this, zkSync Era had many layers of security. This would make it difficult for anyone to actually use the exploit unless they were part of Matter Labs, the infrastructure team behind zkSync Era. Last week, the developers of the Zilliqa blockchain platform reported a critical situation in the blockchain, which led to a stop in the production of blocks. They assured that users’ assets are safe, but asked to temporarily cancel deposits and withdrawals. Later that day, the project team reported that they had identified a problem that would take several hours to resolve. 🆕 Introducing new cryptocurrencies 💡 ZKsync is a Layer-2 scaling solution designed to make transactions on Ethereum faster and cheaper by processing them off the main Ethereum chain. It does this by using the so-called zero-knowledge rollups (zk-rollups). Zk-rollups are solutions that bundle multiple transactions together and process them off-chain. 🛣️ We can think of layer 2 solutions as an extra lane added to a congested highway. By providing more space for cars (transactions) to move, it reduces traffic jams on the main highway (Ethereum).
