This proposal aims to introduce Yearn V3, a system that enables the deployment of the latest generation yield-generating Vaults and Strategies without needing permission. The primary goal of Yearn V3 is to simplify the utilization of Yearn Vaults and the creation of Strategies.
In Yearn V3, both #Vaults and Strategies are independent Vaults compatible with the 4626 standard. These V3 Vaults can allocate funds to multiple Strategies and also accept funds from various Vaults. V3 Vaults act as managers of debt, approving Strategies that can help balance debt, and users will pay fees for debt management.
By adhering to the 4626 standard, the Strategies interface becomes standardized with many DeFi protocols. This compatibility allows any protocol adhering to the 4626 standard to connect to #V3 Vaults without requiring new strategy code or deployment. This integration reduces complexities in Vault accounting and minimizes gas fees.
Additionally, Yearn V3 introduces protocol fees. These fees will be determined by Yearn Governance and will be calculated as a percentage of the total fees collected from V3 Vaults and Strategies.
