Sonic Labs is enhancing the long-term value of Sonic through an upgrade in token economics, with core highlights including an airdrop of approximately 200 million S tokens, based on four governance proposals on Fantom. This upgrade will promote the prosperity of the Sonic ecosystem through a unique linear destruction mechanism, ecological growth funding, and reward mechanisms.
Gradual Release and Destruction Mechanism
6% of the tokens will be used for airdrops to reward users and developers; unused tokens will be destroyed annually within six months to ensure the token value is not diluted; 1.5% of tokens will be minted annually to support growth, ensuring the sustainable development of the ecosystem; by 2031, the maximum expansion cap for S will be 15%, and it is expected that multiple destruction mechanisms will effectively slow down token expansion, ensuring long-term stability.
