NEW YORK, Dec 18 (Reuters) - Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell said on Wednesday the U.S. central bank has no desire to be involved in any government effort to stockpile large amounts of bitcoin.
We're not allowed to own bitcoin," Powell said at a press conference following the Fed's latest two-day policy meeting, in which policymakers cut rates as expected while signaling a less certain path for monetary policy in the months ahead.
In terms of the legal issues around holding bitcoin, "that's the kind of thing for Congress to consider, but we are not looking for a law change at the Fed," Powell said.
The Fed chief was addressing the prospect of central bank involvement in the idea of the government building a so-called Strategic Bitcoin Reserve once President-elect Donald Trump takes office.
Powell's comments dented the value of bitcoin, which has rallied sharply along with other crypto assets since Trump's victory in the Nov. 5 election on the prospect of a more hands-off government approach to a class of assets that rarely functions as actual money, but is instead largely used as a vehicle for speculation.

2 - Six months ago, Binance launched the #Megagrop . We had 2 projects in a row, and since then, nothing. Seems that the program is dead now.
3 - Now Binance launched another program named HODLer Airdrops #Holdlerairdrops . My question is if this will be another Megadrop or not.
What I know is that in the past, I always held a lot of BNB, and now I don't, and when I look at BNB vs other Altcoins in 2024, I think I am not the only one, and to me, it is a result of a worse Launchpools program.

This is just a sign that the bull market has already started - although I know that many people imagine it as a huge leap forward and they will become millionaires in a matter of seconds.
Currently, we are still at a time when stable ground is being prepared. And this is good, but only for real investors who know that patience pays off and emotions are a bad advisor.
Therefore, this is the worst time for those who are only looking for a quick and easy profit.
Is this a good time to buy cryptocurrencies?
For a long-term investment - yes.
For short-term investment... you have to approach them individually and carefully observe a given market, because, as I wrote at the beginning, some crypto have already hit the bottom, but not all has finished this stage.
