The promise of DePIN projects has always been simple: contribute your unused resources and get rewarded fairly. That’s exactly why many users, myself included, started supporting @GetGrass_io. The idea of monetizing unused internet bandwidth sounded like a win-win. But after more than a year of participation, the reality is starting to look very different—and deeply concerning.
Let’s be honest: users have been providing value consistently. By allowing the protocol to access unused bandwidth, we are effectively contributing to a distributed data network. This is not a trivial contribution. Bandwidth, IP reputation, and network access all have real, monetizable value in today’s digital economy. Yet, despite this continuous input, the promised rewards have either been delayed indefinitely or remain unclear and inaccessible.
This raises an uncomfortable question: who is really benefiting here?
While the platform continues to grow and attract attention, early participants are left waiting without transparency. No clear timelines, no consistent communication, and no tangible rewards. Meanwhile, the network continues to extract value from users who trusted the vision.
Decentralization should not mean lack of accountability. If a project relies on community resources, it must also respect the community with fair distribution and honest updates. Otherwise, it risks becoming exactly what crypto was meant to disrupt: a system where users provide value while a central entity captures the rewards.
At this point, @GetGrass_io needs to address the community directly. Clear answers, real timelines, and above all—delivery. Because without trust, no DePIN project can survive in the long term. $GRASS #Grass
