Nvidia's Earnings Exceed Expectations Amidst Stock Price Challenges🤔
On the earnings side, Nvidia earnings blew past the median analyst's estimates, with revenue tripling to $18.1 billion in the quarter (with data center making up 80%), and EPS coming in at $4.02 versus $3.36 expected. Forward revenue guidance was placed at $20bln, versus a consensus range of estiamtes in the $18-21bln area. While the absolute earnings results were fantastic, the stock sold off as much as -6% at one point before recovering to trade down -1.5%, as investors have set an incredibly high bar for the company, given the stocks' high multiples and euphoric expectations on AI at the current juncture.
